Michael Jack is a producer/recording engineer with over 27 years experience in the music industry. Prior to gaining his engineering chops Michael spent the early and mid 80's as vocalist and guitar player for many rock bands. In 1981, while still in high school, he signed up for a recording workshop at a local studio (Para Sound in Newmarket). After completing the course Michael was asked if he would like to hang around and assist on some sessions. He also studied guitar under the tutelage of legendary guitarist Red Shea who played with Gordon Lightfoot, Ian & Sylvia Tyson and Tommy Hunter. In 1986 Michael toured much of Canada as a member of the technical crew for the Juno Award winning R&B singer Liberty Silver. After sleeping in the back of a Winnebago motor home and risking his life driving through raging snow storms in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Michael decided to settle into the safer and climate controlled life of the recording studio. He started engineering sessions at Para Sound Studios and soon began taking on the majority of the work at that facility.

In 1988, at the age of 24, Michael bought the studio and changed the name to Sessions Recordings. Liberty Silver graced the studio on more than one occasion as did Glass Tiger and Jim Cregan of the Rod Stewart Band. Although business was great Michael decided to sell the studio after a four year run and migrated south to Toronto where he began to freelance at several studios. During the mid 90’s Michael took up performing once again with the folk duo “Young Americans” as well as establishing himself as in-house producer for the boutique record label Marshmellow Records where he produced, engineered and performed on several instrumental CDs that enjoyed worldwide release. By the end of 1999 Michael landed the position of senior engineer at the legendary Phase One Studios and worked on numerous world class sessions there until 2007, earning numerous gold and platinum record awards and having many recordings reach both the Canadian and U.S. charts. In 2007 Michael was given the opportunity to develop and helm a new studio at Lenz Entertainment where he was involved in music, film, corporate and television projects. Presently he is freelancing at numerous recording studios but once again considers Phase One Studios his home base Michael has also established his own home based editing and mixing suite called The Radio Room.

Michael has received 22 gold and platinum album awards and has scored two 'Top Ten' Billboard single hits since 2009 with songs he's recorded and mixed. The highest U.S. chart position was the song "Beautiful World" by Adam Crossley & Jim Brickman which peaked at #4 on the Billboard AC chart. Other chart successes have been scored with projects by The Trews, Canadian Tenors, Jann Arden, Rush, Anne Murray to name a few.

On Nov. 16, 2013 three CD's mixed by Michael occupied the #5, #6 and #7 positions on the Billboard New Age charts. Over the years his work has taken him to Nashville, Miami, Cannes (France), Calgary, Montreal and Victoria B.C. Total album/CD sales for all projects Michael has worked on exceed 4 million units.

Michael has recorded, edited and/or mixed sessions for: The Trews, Bono, Nelly Furtado, Hilary Duff, Rush, Big Sugar, Kardinal Offishal, Ludacris, The Canadian Tenors, Liona Boyd, Olivia Newton John, Leahy, Jann Arden, Anjulie, George Canyon, Sass Jordan, Anne Murray, Billy Ray Cyrus, Engelbert Humperdinck, Amy Sky,/Hemingway Corner, Sony/ATV Publishing, Marc Jordan, Canadian Idol, Jesse Cook, Dala, Michelle Wright, Jim Brickman and thousands more.

Steve Major, is a young artist hailing from Canada. With the release of his new album 'UNDOING', Major hopes to hit new heights with his already well rounded and budding career in the entertainment industry. He has been entertaining audiences of all ages for over 18 years. He is a diverse performer with a resume that covers starring roles in musical theatre, roles in film and commercials, an international album release through DEP/Universal Music, and hosting Canada's very own reality television series / original music competition "LOCAL LIVE CANADA™". "Writing music, recording it, and then having the chance to get up onstage and share it with people is something I've always loved to do. This new album (solo album) is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time,” said Major, who is no stranger to the recording studio. His first recording gig in '98 which was a product of Sony Music Canada was a children s album. Other projects soon followed including an international album release through DEP/Universal Music for the duo 'ST.Eves', which Major attributes to being the turning point in his recording journey. “I really felt it was time to do my own thing. I've been in a group setting, I've done the band thing, but now I'm honestly ready to do it on my own. Who know's, maybe one day ST.Eves will fly again", Major added.

To create "UNDOING", Major worked with several pro musicians from Toronto, as well as upcoming producer Jazzfeezy who recently finished working on the latest single from T.I titled "I Ain't Goin". All tracks were recorded by Jim Zoils at the Rose Room Studio in Downtown Toronto, Canada. The album was mixed and had additional production done by gold and mulit-platinum award winning Producer/Mixer Michael Jack who has worked with some of the greats including Nelly Furtado and Bono from U2. Major started working on "UNDOING" in 2011 and relates every song to a specific situation that has taken place in his life. The pop/rock nine song album is mostly up-tempo and houses two ballads. “My inspiration for the overall sound of this record comes from growing up listening to Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake. I wanted the music to be catchy, dance-able, but carry a message that all could relate to.” Major's new album "UNDOING" is now available on iTunes worldwide among other online music retailers.

Steve has been seen on stage in various theatrical roles including ROGER in "RENT" and as JOSEPH in "JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT". Other theatrical credits include: "Anything Goes", "Sweet Charity", "Oliver", "The Sound of Music", and "Brigadoon" to name a few.

Steve has rocked stages all over Canada and has performed many times internationally. His desire to sing has led him to many stages including the Dominican Republic, New York City, Las Vegas, and to a feature performance locally in Canada for promotion of CTV's Canadian Idol at the Air Canada Center. Steve’s studio recording credits include "Groove Club: Canadian Kids &Friends" with Sony Music, "ST.Eves: All That I Need" with DEP/Universal Music, "Leaving you Behind", a collaboration single with Canadian Rap Artist PHAX off of Jazzfeezy's debut album 'Jazzfezzy presents: Unveiling the Rapture',  two singles - from 2011- "Checkmate!" and 2012 - "Piece of Mind".
